SK Mlish Club boys visit

Mlish Clubs are part of an organisation dedicated to promoting the English language in Korea and encouraging Korean youth to communicate with countries that have assisted in the formation of the new Korea (since 1950). Club President, Kyunyun (Brian) Hwang, teacher, Kim Sun Yob, and six students (Lee Dong Hwan, Hwang Ko Tae Won, Kim Hyo Skin, Jae Hyuk-Lee, Seong Min Je, Park Joon-Young) were in Melbourne, the last leg of their Australian tour, in January 2010. Vic Dey, President of the KVAA Inc. and Secretary, Alan Evered, and other Korean War veterans, took them on a tour of the Shrine of Remembrance followed by lunch in the botanical gardens and concluding with the students’ first ever tram ride (a mode of transport not available in Korea and which they found puzzling).
